Mental health support

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government announced that people struggling with their mental health will be offered additional online support and practical guidance to help them cope. In recognition of the unprecedented challenges which the outbreak and extended periods of self-isolation resulted in, Public Health England published an online guidance setting out principles to follow to help people to manage their mental health during the difficult time, such as:

  • maintaining contact with friends and family via telephone and video calls, or social media
  • keeping a regular routine and sleeping pattern
  • focusing on a hobby or learning something new

Mental Health Information Pack

We have also produced a highly useful information pack, with tips on how to look after your mental health which may still be useful after the coronavirus outbreak, as well as contact information for organisations offering support. The pack be downloaded below.
